TISTA BARRAGE
The Testa River is a 309 km long river flowing through the india states of West Bengal and Sikkim through Bangladesh before emptying to the Bay of Bengal. It carves out from the verdant Himalayas in temperate and tropical river valleys and forms the border between Sikkim and west Bengal. It flows through the cities of Rangpo,Jalpaiguri and kalimpong and join the jamuna in Bangladesh. Bangladesh through it dist. of Nilphamari,Lalmonirhat and kurigram.Lalmonirhat and Nilphamari poind Of Dalia set up 1979 Testa Barrage.Bangladesh one of the largest river canal it.The dry summer this barrge provide water Farmer 3/4 Dist.
